Inspiration
Dr. Somani derives inspiration from his father Dr. Ramesh Chandra Somani, Retired Prof.of Zoology and his brother Mr.Jitendra Somani who is currently working with HSBC bank in Hong Kong as Managing Director and Head of Client Services Asia Pacific, HSBC Securities Services. Also supported by mother Mrs. Pushpa Somani and wife Mrs. Nidhi Maheshwari, Dr.Somani wishes to raise the standard of the education system in Udaipur through MDS in fond memory of his grandmother Late Mohan Devi Somani.
Challenges
Dr. Somani says that tackling the students in today’s times which is referred to as the Quick Response Age and raising them ethnically well is the biggest challenge that he faces but handles well due to God’s grace. He also says that parents are the second biggest challenge as they are extra vigilant because of easy inflow of information on net. The third, yet not the least, is the challenge posed by blocking the autonomy of functioning a school or any educational organisation. Facing all these, he says, he had to be quick enough to solve the problems for which he developed a child-centric system in the school. According to him, if you are able to solve a child’s problems you automatically solve the problems of the parents making things easy for the academic staff.
Dr. Somani is instrumental in leveraging the strengths of his school by fetching it more in terms of knowledge, experience and keeping the students abreast with the latest and the new.
He says that optimism and determination are the most needed qualities to surpass mediocrity in the working ethos and making a passionate mission. He gives credit to Facebook that helps in connecting the Alumni, parents, staff and students to the society.
Innovative aspect
One thing that keeps his spirit going is the attitude of doing something new which he terms as “Out of Box” and not the routine things that anyone and everyone does. His thought process of being unique makes him outstanding.
Success tips
The tips of success that the world must learn from, in his words, “Just work to the best of your ability and that there is no success to short cut. You will have to slog yourself out if you need to be successful”. He also says that one must stay cool, be patient and never lose faith in one’s own capabilities.
Dr. Somani lays stress on the point that we all need to take a decision and put our heart and soul into it to make it work. The only point is that such a decision should be taken at the snap of a finger.
Dr. Somani hails from Kapasan in Chittorgarh. He wishes to expand the MDS fraternity to his hometown. He has received many awards that prove his strength but the respect and the love the students and the MDS Alumni shows is the real award and achievement. He is a happy person since his family has been his biggest strength and support at all times.
